bread and Circus
showcases of paintings, photography and mixed media art by Chicago artist collective, AllUsWe.

the show’s theme comes from the Roman term “give them bread and circuses”; the belief that a well-fed and entertained society is incapable of an effective revolt; thus enabling the government to exploit the populous without a potential uprising. the exhibit will run from June 14 through July 14.
